I have tried eide01, eide02 and eide03. In all instances I get the same
error.
Here is what I do:
- Boot the machine
- Load the NIC module
- Set the IP numbers requested
- Download the root image
- linuxrc starts YaST
ERROR: Red panel with message:
"An error occurred during installation!"
The console in ALT-F3 says:
Loading Image <blah...>/root
/bin/sh: fork: cannot allocate memory
Program Aborted!
(Todays date)
ERROR: Open Output File, DETAIL: 0 FILE: SystemCmd.cc LINE: 512
In one instance I got a "Caught signal 7!" right after "Loading Image
<blah...>/root"
Note that I'm doing an FTP install (we've ordered the CD also). I gave
it a try my 5.3 and didn't get the same error, but while installing the
packages I got a red panel with message:
"An error occurred during installation!"
apparently some error with the CDROM, a NEC cdrom.
So, any suggestions?
