I would just grab 1.03 tar-ball from the author site and install it.
It's safer....
I have 1.02 running on several servers and 1.03 running on my workstation
at home with SuSE 6.0.
Unless the rpm is from SuSE, I'd prefer to run through the installation from
the tar-ball. It will help you understand the process better, anyway.
