I don't mean to annoy anyone. But I would like to know if there is a
way to get rpms to upgrade what is needed to get the 2.2.x kernels
working correctly with SuSE6.0. Looking at
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/CHANGES and seeing what the recommended
versions of the software, it doesn't appear that everything is "up to
snuff". Running 2.2.3 at home I can now no longer do a man on
anything. I know it is my own fault for just installing the kernel. I
did put the old kernel in my lilo.conf so I can switch back. This new
kernel is incredibly fast and also supports my cheap radio card in
video4linux. I can get the .tgz's and compile myself...But when I
upgrade to newer versions of SuSE it has problems...I was thinking
this was due to all of the packages I installed from source. Is there
an easy way to make rpms from my compiled source? I know RTFM. But I
really don't have the time now. I was hoping someone could shed some
light on this for me...Thanks
