Hi,

One more other thing I wanted to mention about my attempts to go from
kernel 2.0.36 in SuSE 6.0 to kernel 2.2.3 (which is the most recent one I've
seen on the SuSE site), is that everyone talks about mv /usr/src/linux.

Guess what? I don't *have* a /usr/src/linux directory. Was one
supposed to have been created when I installed SuSE 6.0? Should I install
one now, or can I leave my 2.0.36 stuff where it is (in a directory called
linux-2.0.36.SuSE)?

It seemed to me totally reasonable that 2.0.36 is in its own directory,
and 2.2.0, 2.2.1...2.2.4 would each be in its own directory, and you'd just
use a symbolic link to get to whatever version of the kernel you wanted to
use. So am I missing something?
