Hi Steven,

try to delete the print job with "lprm". Since the job is not printed to
your machines satisfaction (a proper end) it realy wants to give the
printout unless to tell it that you do not want it anymore.

1st:
switch off your printer to save the canadian rain forrest.

2nd:
try lpq -P<name of printer> ("lpq" if it´s lp, the standard)

you´ll see a job number listed for the "offending" job(s)

3rd:
get your shotgun: lprm -P<printer name> Jobnumber. ("lprm jobnumber" for
lp)

enjoy peace, turn the printer back on.
