Of course this is not true. NVidia keeps a very strong grip on their
documentation. I assure you, if you can get NVidia to give SuSE or
XFree86 the complete databooks for the Riva128, we'll see a much faster
2D driver shortly thereafter.
My next video card won't be NVidia-based. I'll make sure to buy one
from a company that gives their documentation freely to Linux
developers.
