Upgrade from 2.0.36 to 2.1.0? That is NOT an UPgrade.
You should know that when talking version of the linux kernel,
the numbers are a bit odd to the uninitiated. Versions with
even minor numbers are for most normal users, whereas versions
with odd minor numbers are for development use (ie. don't use
these unless you know what you do!) At any one time there is
both a current 2.0.x and a 2.1.x kernel. When the 2.x.x series
started 2.0.0 and 2.1.0 were the "current" kernels. Now
the versions are 2.0.36 and 2.1.(some number around 130)
When the new 2.2.0 kernel gets out for real, the development kernel
will also change numbers to 2.3.0.
I would recommend you stick with the 2.0.36 until the 2.2.0 is
ready.
