did you change to the other virtual terminals to see if ther's any hint on
the problem ?
If my memory serves me correctly, tty4 shows some debug output, just try
all from tty1..6 (?)
I had the same effects installing SuSE 7.3 on my 32bit Sparc LX and SS5,
the problem was
always with the SCSI-CDROM. So I booted from the CD-ROM, went to "manual"
install and
choose NFS install. Meanwhile I had put the CD-ROM in a NFS-Server,
answered the NFS
setup questions of the manual installer and continued successfully from
there.

Hi
I've been trying to get Suse 7.3 installed on sparc system but with no
luck
at all.
I've downloaded the .iso for both sparc64 and sparc but in both cases the
installation aborts with the really helpfull message "An Error occued
during
installation"
I have tried the install on both an Ultra 10 and Ultra 60 with similar
results. Am I missing something obvious or is this unusual.
After a weeks messing around I'm about to give up and try another version!
Any help would be more than welcome.
