[suse-sparc] Error Message while adding Swap

Hi folks,   I'm new in this list, so this topic may have been discussed - sorry for that...   So here is the problem: I installed SuSE 7.3 on my Sun-Sparcstation20. I compiled a 2.4.18pre9 Kernel (from kernel.org). The machine boots but while adding the swap a "Segmentation fault" error is reported. Anyway the swap space seems to work (free shows the right size). Using the normal SuSE 2.2 Kernel this message doesn't appear.   Any ideas?     Thanx   Stefan
