Downloading and compiling 2.4.19 was a success. cdrecord now works. However I do notice that the kernel has trouble keeping up to a 16x scsi drive about 100mb into any burn. Even in console-only mode, I can only do 12x.
I have an Ultra 2 w/ two 300 Mhz processors. This should be able to keep up to a 16x burner? Or should I suspect something wrong? SCSI bus is terminated after the external CD burner. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nick Thompson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Thorsten Kukuk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, October 31, 2002 12:02 AM Subject: Re: [suse-sparc] cdrecord on Sparc > ChaCHING!!!!! > > I think that's it.
