There really isn't any current development for Suse sparc. I was hoping it would still be around but version 7.3 is the last and it is 4 yrs old. You would be better off looking for a different Linux. www.debian.org www.gentoo.org are a couple, and there are some others. If you have any questions about Debian, I can answer a few. I am currently running it on an Sun E250. I wonder if enough of us wrote that had sparc if they would start development again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Subject: [Norton AntiSpam] [suse-sparc] USB/Firewire PCI card on Ultra 10

Hi all,

I just got an Ultra 10 (my first experience with a sparc system) and
managed to install Suse 7.3 without any problems. Now I would like to
set up the USB/Firewire PCI card (VIA chipset). Is this possible? What
are the steps to follow? do I need to get into the OpenBoot and do
something in it?

Thanks in advance!
