Indeed, if I tell powersave to unload tg3 before s2ram *and* s2disk (not 
unloading tg3 on a s2disk seems to cause a hang on next s2ram) then it 
seems that suspend works properly. On my distro this is done by a 
straightforward modification of /etc/powersave/sleep.
