As long as I dont use the -r option, s2ram works multiple, when when switching 
off lights in between (all with init=/bin/bash. vga=0 or not does not 
matter). 

when I do
radeontool light off
s2ram -f

and try to wake it up (by using the Fn-Key), it stays in a mode somewhere in 
between: The battery symbol (LED) appears like waking up, but the suspend-LED 
(the moon) is still active. Hard reboot required.

When not playing around with radeontool, on resume the hint:
pnp: device 00:07 could not be activated
pnp: device 00:08 could not be activated
pnp: device 00:0a activated
appears.
