Dear Friends,On Thursday, July 20th, the Dryden Town Board members are hosting
the final continuation of the public hearing on the proposed 29MW community
solar project. Turnout at this meeting really matters. Please plan to be
there:Thursday, July 20th, starting at 7:15 pmDryden Town Hall, 93 E. Main
Street.
Any interested person may sign in at the door to speak, but keep in mind the
time limit of 3 minutes (or maybe less). Simply saying something such as "I
urge the Board members to give this project approval" will let them know they
have support for approval. You may appear in person or ask another person to
read your comments if you wish. You may also remain silent and just observe.
If you want them, there will be signs available at the door for supporters to
hold during the meeting. Come to show support for community solar in Dryden.
It will allow many people who cannot get solar power installed on their homes
to sign up for locally produced power, and at a discount from NYSEG rates. SEE
YOU THERE! Marie McRae PS After this hearing, by law, the project must go
before the Planning Board for sub-division approval - so its not actually
totally and completely over on Thursday. But Thursday's hearing is
significantly important. PPS if you need more information before the meeting,
please email me. I love this world, even in its hard places....So, even if
the effort may come to nothing, you have to do something. from "For
Example" by Mary Oliver
