(was) Re: [biofuel] Who Owns The Sky?/off topic but worth it?

Here in the USA because of a company evolved in energy called Enron and
there financial contributions to
politically elected democratic representative campaign nominees the issue of
campaign finance reform is
brought to the forefront on a local, state and federal level.
If interested http://www.commoncause.org This will give us some sort of
idea how money from business's,
unions and individuals influence elected government officials, the public
policy makers, on a federal and
state level. The US government includes elected representatives to the
executive branch, congressional branch
and judicial branch.
Some of us probably remember watching documentaries or the motion picture
about
former President Harry S. Truman (aka Give them Hell, Harry) having to make
deals with business
in his early years as a county commissioner to provide suitable roads to the
people in his area.
Time marches on as deals escalate with "The Soft Money Laundromat"
http://www.commoncause.org/laundromat
from this page a link to a brief historical run down "SOFT MONEY: WHAT IS IT
AND WHY IS IT A PROBLEM?"
