Yes they are. I've converted a 6.2, and have two friends with conversions on the Chevy/GM diesel - another 6.2 and a 6.5.
You'll want to go two-tank, and heat and filter the oil well, since the Stanadyne pumps can't handle overly viscous fuel and/or dirty fuel.
