Up to the entry into the EU in May of last year, Poland had an embargo on
goods from Taiwan because they had not signed Kyoto. There was never a
mention of the US or any other country. There will be no trade embargoes
this time round.

Kyoto is all very well. In theory, it does not stand a chance of success.
Nobody is going to take it seriously until 2010, by which time it will be
too late anyway.

In practice, world oil production has already peaked and will probably
reduce by 3 - 5 % per year from now on. This will therefore automatically
provide the reduction in CO2 production in that time.
