hiii evry1 I have recently joined this group.. I am from India, working with one of india's biggest oil companies..In india Bio diesel is produced from Jatropha .. thats a herb which grows very easily in wastelands... i would like to know if anyone in the group has produced Bio diesel from jatropha... i believe the process is same.. first transesterification using methanol in presence of base catalyst, and then washing... glycerol is obtained as byproduct.. comments?? regards MJ Manesh Jain Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
