i think my compost has been a marginal success by experienced standards, and 
a fantastic success by my own. it does in fact get warm (not hot, but hey 
its still a baby) and even though it got rained on, i pitched in a big 
basket of dead leaves, and it warmed up again in a few hours. its sort of a 
humid warm, like a barrow of lawn clippings in the sun, but i dont see any 
major problems other than the fact that it is such a small container (about 
2ft. square and 1.5ft high).
