The Tour de Solstice came off with what has to be considered flying colors -- 18 or so riders braved the still-snowy streets of Ithaca to take the shortest ride on the shortest day of the year. A mile and a half, stopping for coffee at the half-way point, and hearty lunch at the end. It was great to be out on bikes and get a chance to chat with friends we haven't seen since more balmy days. There were pictures taken by many; Juan Salazar's are posted on the website (http://bikeithaca.org). Have a look and leave comments and suggestions.
While thinking about cycling-related events -- could someone give a report on the "No Drive" Food Drive from a week ago? I wasn't able to go but would really like to hear how it went and post some information on the website. I hope it's an event that will be repeated?
