Come visit Tompkins County's America Recycles Day (ARD) Celebration where you'll find information about Tompkins County Solid Waste Management Division's waste reduction and recycling programs, all about the 4Rs, reduce, reuse, recycle, and rebuy, including composting from Cayuga Compost and volunteers from the Master Composter Program at Cornell Cooperative Exension of Tompkins County. You'll also find information from Casella Waste Systems, Inc., Finger Lakes ReUse Center, and Waste Management. Other activities throughout the day include: - Tours of the RSWC on the hour (last one begins at 2pm) - Book Exchange: Bring a book, take a book - Waste Reduction Activity - & MORE! Make sure to visit the celebration, or our office prior to the event, and pledge to reduce, reuse, recycle, and rebuy all year and be entered to win the NYS DEC ARD prize - a $500 gift certificate for recycled-content plastic lawn and patio furniture donated by the New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse & Recycling.
