Peter, Helena, There is nothing that can be dne about these messages, as they are most likely being sent by spyware viruses on windows machines owned by other readers of the mailing list, or worse by unrelated users who parse a log of mailing lists for content.
Here are a few options to help filter them: 1. the mailing list does not allow attachements... so if there is an attachement coming from this list, it is a virus. 2. DO NOT EVER use MS Outlook with the message preview window open. And do not read suspicions messages. 3. If you must use Microsoft products to view email, use a virus checker with a definitions file less than 1 day old 4. do not enable html viewing. only view raw text emails. You can set your yahoo groups membership preferences to only send raw text emails. 5. delete any emails with a subject line that is non-descriptive and out of context. Don't even look at it.
