I used Instant Saxon 6.5.3 quite often and I found it a usable tool. 
This can be doanloaded from http://saxon.sourceforge.net/.

The task to implement an XSL file remains; this might be quite 
tedious.

I can share at least one example (from XML/GML to SVG), however the 
SVG geometries are upside down up to now (a rotation should be enough 
to fix it)... 
Another really big one is better, if oyu need it please contact me 
directly.
