I used Instant Saxon 6.5.3 quite often and I found it a usable tool. This can be doanloaded from http://saxon.sourceforge.net/.
The task to implement an XSL file remains; this might be quite tedious. I can share at least one example (from XML/GML to SVG), however the SVG geometries are upside down up to now (a rotation should be enough to fix it)...
