Just a point of clarification .. OpenLaszlo offers two modes of deployment .. (a) proxied="true" .. which compiles on the tomcat server (b) proxied="false" .. or SOLO mode .. which precompiles a Flash movie which can run on any server .. e.g. Apache+PHP+MySQL .. or as an executable desktop application (via Screenweaver for example). .. both modes can "wire" with other apps (PHP, SVG, SOAP etc.).
