you should be able to achieve a similar effect using html only with  
the code sample supplied in a previous email.

The idea was so that people who didn't have software for viewing SVG
would see a nice picture, taking up most the screen, containing some
linked text warning them that they needed to be able to display SVG
and with links to Adobe, Firefox etc. as well as links into the site
(one normal and one which opens a new window maximized for viewing
graphics. I also have rollover events to make the linked bits clear
and it's the JavaScript to pre-load the rollover graphics which
doesn't work (or at least it only seems to work in one directory).
The idea is to be artistically impressive, technically impressive and
user friendly. It looks really good and it's just extreamly
frustrating that the JavaScript only works in one directory and I've
no idea why. It's rather like having a space suit which works
perfectly well in test coditions on Earth but refuses to power up in
space.
