And where do I specify the Content-Encoding: gzip? If it is on the server and I don't have access to it, then I stand by my statements. Adobe (No friend of SVG) supports opening svgz file in Adobe Illustrator. It is made difficult on purpose IMO. I do not consider this an Opera bug, but maybe someone from Opera can chime in. Your right Firefox does support filters, but not much else.
