Thanks Robert, I think it was a casualty of working with too many versions, as I thought I already fixed that problem once!
But it is now fixed at http://srufaculty.sru.edu/david.dailey/svg/text/Taxi2.svg So Firefox gets an extra point. Alas, Chrome loses one as it now crashes on the page!
