Hi, Erik and others,

I think I found the error and have corrected it. The head part was obtained 
from an svg tutorial.  Eric didn't see the </svg> tag might be due to that it 
was placed too far low at the end.  Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks a 
lot for your help.

It's not xml well-formed, it lacks a "</svg>" at the end. I'm a bit  
surprised that it worked in Firefox.
