Thanks for the reply Klass. It would be much better for me if I could extend swamp with a scripting language like perl, ruby, python, or even php. maybe a cgi type interface? I think it would make the product more accessible to mere mortals like myself. I thought perhaps the perl SOAP interface would do what I want, but I guess it doesn't get called during, say, the workflow creation. As Thomas mentioned, velocity isn't capable of doing things like connecting to databases. Now I have to decide if it's finally time to tackle java. I've been avoiding it for *years*. Thank you.
