pluto: passert when the transform type table overflows or looks wrong
Was instead silently "fixing" any problems. Since the number of
transform table appends has an upper bound this should be safe.
With this applied and the fix 047c5df463f71a459cf283c4b73e05ba83896cef
removed, things will quickly passert.
