There's a fair bit of noise in those numbers, but they don't seem to be increasing drastically. Top shows the pluto process growing 2MB over the past 6.5 hours:

So that's in pluto then. And you say leak-detective does not find any.
Can you try recompiling with USE_DNSSEC disabled? Then we could tell if
the leaks are in libunbound or our handling of libunbound, or not.
