Well, except that this is only accurate to two significant digits. :P You'd have to get exact birthdates from everyone for the digits after the decimal point tomean anything, heh. > Seriously, we all are rather young. Zork-on-mainframes has not been around that much longer than Zork-on-personal-computers. Also, and more importantly, commerical personal computing gaming software just didn't exist until the late 70's. You can't really collect freeware gaming programs like Roguelikes :) That doesn't explain it all -- it used to be that the average age of computer gamers was around 35-40 (this has been steadily declining for several reasons), so you'd expect people who played lots of games in the early 80's to be 55-60 today (eep!) People don't typically feel nostalgia for things that happens when they were 35-40; it's often things that happened when they were kids or teenagers or in their early twenties. And a big motivation for collecting is nostalgia. So we're the lower end of the 80's gamers, 15-20 years later. That's my theory. -- Stephen > Pedro Quaresma schrieb: > > > > Adam - 17 > > Alexander - 24 > > Steve - 25 > > Brad - 26 (which month?) > > Stefan - 26 (December) > > Karl - 26 (September) > > Pedro - 26 (April) > > Stuart - 27 > > C.E. - 28 > > Stephen Lee - 29 > > Dan - 31 > > Lee - 32 > > John R. - 35 > > Chris N. - 36 > > Joe - 38 > > Edward - 39 > > > > So we can now conclude that the average collector is named Stephfan > > Leeonard and is aged 29,06 ;) > > > > -- > > Pedro R.
