Well it's official, they reversed the transaction in favor of the thief. So NO paypal transaction is safe for the seller (hate to think about the buyer, more on that later)

Virtual items not covered by protection plan, EVER
Services not covered by protection plan, EVER
Shipped items only covered if you have delivery confirmation, some items require SIGNATURE confirmation. Also it is my understanding that there is $ limit on this too.

Even if you have delivery or signature confirmation what is to prevent the buyer from saying they got the package but opened it and it was not what they wanted? So my conclusion, PAYPAL IS NOT SAFE FOR SELLERS FOR ANY TRANSACTION. I think I will dump them. Oh, before paypal had so called "protection" I ordered some games from a seller. Soon as they got the money they disappeared, no answer to emails, no package. I informed paypal immediately, what did they do, NOTHING. So I've been burned twice, as buyer and seller. Any questions feel free to email me, read my initial post first though.
