First of all these comments are directed to the paypal corporation, not the person who reads this, do not take it personally. Think of it as suggestions/feedback.

Paypal reversed this transaction in favor of a thief. Did paypal examine all the evidence I sent via email and phone calls? Here is the way I see it.

Buyer was telling truth about account being hacked. This is unlikely as they did not answer emails from me asking what happened and requesting explanation why they made claim. If someone had access to their credit card and bank account why did they use it to purchase a measly $88 of Ultima Online items, why not just do a $1000 transfer or more? Even if acct was hacked, that is not MY problem, bad luck for them but why should that affect me? I delivered items as promised.

Buyer was liar/thief/scammer, most likely.

Paypal rewards thief by giving them their money back. So thief has my items and money. Paypal policies need to be examined, policies encourage thieves and punish honest sellers. Thief is guilty but so is paypal, paypal stole money from me.

Me, the ONE INNOCENT PARTY in the whole transaction is the one who gets screwed.

Bottom line is paypal needs to examine and fix policies to protect honest people, not theives. I have been paypal member since inception. I have flawless paypal and ebay record. I was screwed once before by someone using paypal, I was a buyer that time. August 2000 I believe, transaction number (ID #xxxxxx) , $60 to Margaret Chu. They never sent items, never even answered email after they got my money. What did paypal do for me, NOTHING, would not even give me address of "seller" so I could file fraud charges. This was before paypal had any "protection plans"

I don't know if I can ever use paypal again, twice now I have been cheated and paypal does nothing for me, in fact encourages the thieves. I have HUNDREDS of friends and clients who use paypal, I will be informing ALL of them what was done to me, they can decide what to do about it. Think of yourself not as a paypal employee, try to put yourself in my shoes, what would you do? Paypal "safe and secure", DEFINITELY NOT.
