But can't the buyer still call his credit card company and reverse the
charge?  Mind you, I'm not sure how easy this is.

Also, as a buyer, I would be reluctant to send my credit card details
via e-mail.  That's one nice thing about PayPal; I don't have to share
my credit card numbers with the seller.
