just another note... i really can't emphasise this enough, because imho it's a killer-feature that hardly anybody understands (so i'm very happy somebody is finally looking into this):
look at swfml-s ("simple") as an example. you can use swf2xml to produce something like a template swfml-ll and come up with your own custom dialect where a single xml tag is a complex clip, even with action tags if you like, where some custom values get filled in. that means you can use some existing xml file and directly convert it to swf in a single step. say you've got an address book xml. your stylesheet would have the swfml-ll for a business card clip, a GUI and logic as a header, and the entries would get directly converted into one frame each, putting the business card clip onto the stage, and adding action tags that instantiate it with the values. just as an example. you could also be drawing a sales chart or whatever, with e.g. <chart type="bars"><bar value="..." month="..." /><bar ... />...</chart>. you get the idea. mark On 3/28/06, Mark Winterhalder <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > am > > i correct in my understanding that the basic profile is just another > > built-in xslt similar to simple. > > as far as i understand it, no.
