The good news is, apparently Adobe has addressed this problem with the installer payload that comes out with the flash player 10. Yay! I just tested, and to my surprise, it keeps you at least in the same browser now (FF stays in FF, Safari stays in Safari, IE stays in IE).
However, I still get the weirdness that If I have multiple versions of FF installed on one machine, and I am in one of the lower versions, and I upgrade flash, when it restarts, it now launches the new (3.0.3) version and re-loads the page. But at least it's still FF! Considerably less frustrating, for sure (now only a little annoying). --Kyle From: Getify Solutions, Inc.
