This bug is filed with Adobe about buggy behavior with their express-install installer re-opening the wrong browser when it updates the plugin and restarts the browser. I've confirmed this on lots of different systems which have various different browsers (IE, FF, Safari, etc) installed. However, this bug hasn't gotten much attention in the bug-system yet, and I'd like to get their attention called to it. All I'm asking is that you go to the link above and vote for the item in question.
