Alan.

It's not a matter of not wanting to, but trying to keep this list to what
its intention is - answering issues related to SWFObject. I suggested you
ask elsewhere as you will have more chance of someone being able to help you
with learning CSS.

Aligning div or object elements in a HTML page is totally independent of
SWFObject API methods, it just happens that you want to combine the two. If
you had not used SWFObject to do your embedding, you would still have an
object on your page that you want to align via CSS.

So I am sorry you felt rebuffed in your question - I wasn't my intention to
insult you or anything.

Then why have it in the faq at all. If you don¹t want to answer the
question, then don¹t say anything.

I¹m a CSS noob, and it took me some time to realize that the the CSS in the
example is targeting the body and not the container being replaced by
swfobject. Also, I've read that this replacement can cause alignment
issues, though I can¹t find any consensus on how or why this is happening.

Since this is an element being modified swfobject, it is a swfobject issue.
I'm not asking how to align some text on the page, I'm curious as to the
best way to manipulate the container that the swfobject is contained in.
Because, I don't know if it will cause conflict else where.

Sheesh....
