the base param needs to be applied to both objects

the nested object (which is for ff  - I don really use static objects that
much)  needs to have all the params of the first object with the exception
of the movie param which handled by the data attribute on the nested object
(the 1 for ff) so you should add the wmode param there also

anyway this explains why ff was the only affected browser;
