@TDC I cannot think of a reason initially. If the var values are coming through in FF etc, then it suggests that SWFObject is doing its job. Did you try the 1 frame delay as I suggested in my first reply?
(Do you have any class loading etc going on in the 1 frame which could be delaying the availability of the loaderInfo properties?)
