z-index is actually NOT important -- Flash Player doesn't respect z-index
when laying Flash content on the screen. what *does* matter is your
"position:" css. the Flash element needs to be set to "position: relative"
or "position: absolute" and have wmode set to opaque or transparent (opaque
is the best option).

see http://pipwerks.com/swfobject/z-index/2.0/index.html
