I understand that this is "your baby" project and that you've put a lot of
effort into it. And it also looks like a good product. However, speaking for
myself, I don't have a need for a GUI because I understand the SWFObject
syntax already enough that I just write my own code. Also, we have the
code-generator which assists if there's a missed tweak or syntax that I
forget. In my day-to-day activities, I just don't need a GUI for this. Maybe
if I'd never used SWFObject before, the first few times it would be helpful.
But I'm willing to bet that a lot of people are in the same boat. They're
probably just comfortable enough with the syntax that they can either do it
themselves, or use the code generator. And I also bet that MOST people just
copy markup from a previous embed (I do all the time) and change params,
whenever they do a new embed. So, again, a tool isn't as helpful.
Just some thoughts on maybe why the uptake isn't as high as you might hope.
Keep up the good work though, and thanks for contributing to the overall
quality of the SWFObject community.

I forgot to mention, that, while it does not require any other tools,
if you would like to take advantage of some of Swifter's features,
the .swfs that you would like to add to your web site should be
created using the Swifter Development Kit.fla - so Flash would be
required. But, you certainly don't have to. Swifter makes adding
existing .swfs to your site very easy.
