I personally have not looked at IE9 yet. Please use view the standard test suite files (found in the Wiki - http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/wiki/test_suite ) with your IE9 install, and verify if they work as intended or not (the basic example page use expressInstall)
As Vincent said, please post an issue if you find that the test suite pages do not work as intended.
