I just found SWFObject and think it is an AWESOME tool to accomplish what I'm trying to do. I am loading a flash movie as a background on my home page, then loading content on top. I do not want to play the movie automatically -- I need to be able to verify:1) if the movie has finished loading, then; 2) play the movie, and then; 3) check to see if it has finished playing to load my page content. I previously have been able to do this via javascript, but since switching to SWFObject, I don't know how to do this. I've tried adding ID as an attribute so I can do a getElementByID but so far I'm out of luck. I'd appreciate any help you can give me about what I am doing wrong/need to do right!
