Hi Pavel, thanks for making me aware of this, I cannot reproduce it either with SwingSet. We use a custom FileSystemView which has a fix for javax.swing.jfilechooser.Windows FileSystemView. As it seems, using this custom FileSystemView causes the exception. I will check and see if the fix is still required with Java 7.
