I am posting this here because I got the impression the low priority
of this bug is due to it not being reproducible in tests by on of your
devs but it is real, it is a regression and it renders a lot of
software useless (after all, confirming a drop in a JOptionPane is not
exactly an extraordinary thing to do) if not worked around by ugly
things like invoking the code using SwingUtilities.invokeLater.
