That doesn't help right know, since a revision of the
telecomunications law ("Fernmeldegesetz") is on the way. The revision
makes spam illegal (which is a good thing) but on the other hand would
require ISPs to stop incoming spam for their customers. With the
current definition of spam (advertising which is unsolicited and
without a pre-existing business relationship) this task is impossible
for ISPs (how would you know about the business-relationships of you
customers?).
That's where SWINOG could rise its voice. SIUG is preparing a response
to the proposed changes, but there more found statements, the
better. Maybe you would talk about this at the next Swinog-meeting?

PS: There are some other interesting changes in the new law, like
BAKOM having to edit personal profiles and have them ready for
other government agencies.
