I know this is an older posting, but just for the record: SPF matches the 
envelope from ("Reply-To"), not the "From" Header (this is covered by the 
Sender-ID introduced by Microsoft) which is rewritten by proper mailing list 
softwares.

SPF does indeed break verbatim forwarding. Forwarding has to be replaced by 
re-mailing, which is covered by SRS (Sender Rewriting Scheme). This is
