Make sure that the alarm/timer is off. Does it do it when using external power
such as a wall cube?

I bought a G3 at the Fest from someone and am having some problems. It
won't stay on (!) sometimes it automatically shuts off after several
seconds. I've tried taking the batteries out and reinstalling them but
that doesn't help. Any ideas?
